South Dakota Weekend

We had 573 decisions in South Dakota….273 for Salvation! Praise God! I personally ministered in four different facilities: The Chamberlain Academy (juvenile) Mike Durfee State PrisonSouth Dakota State Penitentiary / Jameson Unit, and the South Dakota Women’s Prison. We had 125 teammates and 12 Platform Guests. I spent many hours driving to the units as they were pretty well scattered over long distances from the hotel. Still I enjoyed being a member of the Champions for Life team and proud to be working with them.

I returned early Sunday morning and was able to attend the baptism of my friend, Scott Campagna. I am going to be posting his baptism picture on my site very soon. It was a great moment.

The following weekend found me in Bonham, Texas, once again with Champions for Life, to participate in a Day of Champions instead of the Weekend of Champions like we had in South Dakota. I am waiting on the report from that outreach. The men at the facility were very receptive and treated me with great applause and cheers. Just good ol’ Bible Belt, church-goin boys gone bad, but with southern hospitality and manners.

Tonight I did a program for Celebrate Recovery at the 1st Southern Baptist Church of Mesa (A smaller church with a bigger heart than most) to a crowd of about 45. It was a great night and my voice was much improved. Several men attended from the halfway house where my friend Scott is living. He has already started bearing fruit for God. I am very proud of him and his new found love for the Lord. I know hearts were touched by the word and music. Judy Drew and Cruz Lerma attended along with my good friends, Dana Baliban and her husband, Jeff.

Lorne Peat remains a faithful volunteer partner and spends many hours visiting the men of Durango and following up on their new decisions.

On the 1st of September, I was honored with a fund-raiser at the home of Bob Eason, hosted by Chantal De Bejarry-Harkenrider. I raised nearly $500 from this event and appreciate so much the friendship and support of these two good friends.

Since my last post we have had 30 new decisions for Christ at Durango Men’s Jail, with 1 rededication and 4 new decisions and 6 rededications at the Estrella Women’s Jail. (The Estrella totals will increase once I receive the report from Cruz Lerma in the Hispanic/Latino class)

Please pray comfort for my friend Dennis Agajanian’s family as they grieve the passing of  their father, Elisha (Aggie) Agajanian last week.

Also I’m still asking for prayer for my good friend Pat Doran as he continues to battle Lou Gehrigs Disease, and more prayer for his family as they try to cope with this.

My sister, Twyla Moulton needs prayer for health concerns.

Thank you, for your time, interest, and support!

 God bless you!
